About The Position

Why M Physicians? Our dedicated Eye Care team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Orthoptists and Nurses, along with Certified Technicians and Assistants, provide next level diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the eye using state of the art technology. Our providers specialize in various ophthalmology and optometry subspecialties including Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Neuro Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and Vitreoretinal Disease. Our all-inclusive approach ensures our present and future patients receive the best outcome possible. What you will do as a Clinic Support Specialist: Coordination of care/information with care team and/or administration Secures information pertinent to the patient visit Obtains internal and external records Arranges for courier service when needed to obtain records Completes intake with as much data/facts/information as possible to assure appropriate registration, scheduling and insurance reimbursements Provides Right Fax management Handles mail retrieval and distribution Creates new patient packet according to individual patient needs Pages and messages providers and care coordinators regarding urgent issues that need to be addressed in a timely matter Communicates with patients regarding eligibility for clinical trials Meets with patients upon arrival to clinic to introduce themselves and care coordinator Collects all relevant records for patients going back as far as needed to make sure complete medical history is maintained Works behind the scenes to make sure all pre-appointment needs are met, minimizing the patient’s need to call multiple offices for services What you will need: Post high school education in medical related area or equivalent experience Prior experience in patient scheduling and registration in a clinic setting Two to three years of strong customer service experience Basic research skills regarding clinical trials Good medical terminology skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Location: Phillips-Wangensteen Building - 516 Delaware Street SE Minneapolis, MN 55455 Hours: 40 hours/week Benefits: This is a fully benefit eligible position: Competitive wages, Healthcare (including vision & dental), 401K, parking & tuition assistance and more! Requirements

  • Post high school education in medical related area or equivalent experience
