Requirements

  • Proficient computer and typing skills.
  • Knowledge in general medical terminology, orthopedic conditions and treatments, and clinical workflows unique to an independent musculoskeletal practice.
  • Organizational skills with focus on tracking end user performance and improving workflows with use of the EMR.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, office managers, and clinical staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Job training for new team members, utilizing standard workflows as developed through clinical operations.
  • Gain a detailed understanding of Epic to maximize the benefits of the electronic health record (EHR) for workflows in the department.
  • Assist in rolling out standard workflows as developed.
  • Monitor end user workflows to identify trends in efficiency with use of Epic
  • Report technical or end user issues to the analyst team using the ServiceNow helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Assist analyst team with resolving end user reported issues by providing onsite outreach.
  • Recommend enhancements to end user workflows.
  • Serve as a resource for staff using Epic applications and workflows in their assigned support areas by being approachable and available.
  • Assist with scheduling and setting up workspace for Epic training courses for staff within assigned region.
  • Assist with ongoing individual staff training sessions.
  • Serve as a project advocate to generate enthusiasm and excitement for the change.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
