About The Position

Position is a Licensed Practical Nurse (Clinical Support Specialist) located at the South-Central Regional Office in Raeford, NC. This position will report directly to the Regional Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and will assist the ADON with auditing and health care compliance through reports, data gathering and facility site visits.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.

  • Assist facilities in maintaining healthcare compliance with: PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) Health and Safety standards Other applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and help implement improvement plans.
  • Deliver direct patient care within LPN scope under RN supervision, including: Screening, observing, and assessing patients. Providing basic wound care and personal care. Administering routine respiratory therapy and other treatments. Performing catheter and colostomy care. Collecting vital signs and specimens. Preparing and administering medications. Administering and interpreting TB skin tests. Observing and recording pertinent patient information. Responding to medical emergencies. Assisting Registered Nurses and Physicians as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with facility standards.
  • Work regular hours (8 AM – 5 PM, Monday–Friday) or as approved by ADON.
  • Occasionally work other shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.
