About The Position

Park Place of St. John, an Assisted and Independent Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking Clinical Support Nurse, Full Time. Park Place of St. John is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve! Summary of essential job functions: Provide clinical support to the nursing leadership team and is part of the nursing management team in the facility. Ensure the daily operations are in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Assist the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. Complete necessary audits and Infection Control program in the building. Schedule daily rounds to observe clients and nursing staff, ensuring that quality care is provided to clients. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the DON as necessary/required, concerning nursing operations. Participate in PLS surveys made by authorized government agencies. Attend various committees of facility (i.e., Infectious Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, Budget, Quality Assessment and Assurance, etc.) as required, and as appointed by the administrator. Schedule nursing staff including working with nursing staffing agencies to fill in schedule needs according to facility and agency agreements. Maintians master forms on computer for: Floor schedule, calendar attendance, trade slips, call-in slips, leave early slips, payroll deduction sheet, new schedule sheet, etc. Assist with on-boarding and training of new hires. Take and make calls after hours. Work the floor when necessary; and every other weekend.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Indiana.
  • Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete the orientation program.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a manager/supervisor or scheduling with skilled nursing/long-term care a plus.
