About The Position

The Clinical Support Resource RN supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduates and/or team members that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Clinical Support Resource RN supports multiple departments within surgical services, providing guidance and education on the hospital's standard of practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

Requirements

  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Bachelors Degree required; Masters preferred
  • 2+ years experience as an RN required
  • 1+ years experience in a leadership role preferred
  • 1+ years experience as a preceptor preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Preceptor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Satori Alternatives Management of Aggression must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

  • Performs rounds on each nursing unit.
  • Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.
  • Identify nursing educational needs.
  • Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
  • Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice.
