Our St. Paul float team is an integral part of nursing services and provides a valuable resource to the entire Children's Minnesota St. Paul Campus. Float team members apply skills in a number of areas and are extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and flexible with the care they provide and units they support. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support all medical surgical areas as well have the option of choosing the NICU or the PICU track (including the ED and PACU), while Unit Operations Coordinators and Clinical Support Associates hired into this area would support all the areas in the hospital on the St Paul campus. Requirements

  • Completed a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completed a nursing or health care related clinical practicum course.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English to perform functions of the position.
  • Skills in basic computer operation.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred.
