About The Position

The Clinical Systems Analyst supports Sunstate Medical Specialists (SMS) clinical and business software projects by consulting with business units to identify needs, assist with software selection and implementation, and ensure project quality. Key responsibilities include solution architecture, system consultation, refining best practices, supporting Agile development, and optimizing performance to contribute to SMS’s overall success and culture.

Requirements

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products.
  • Proficient computer software and database skills.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health care, IT or business-related field required.
  • Minimum of one to two (3-4) years of experience with PM/EHR in practice management setting.
  • Experience with information systems, clinical software, and other computer applications.
  • Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with Allscripts preferred.
  • Experience and expertise with Agile methodologies and tools.
  • Project management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a first line of contact and knowledgeable on SMS’s clinical and business applications.
  • Assists in the resolution application problems in coordination with SMS IT team.
  • Assists in development and implementation of applications systems, including training, support activities, and monitoring functionality usage.
  • Able to roll out new feature and functionality to the practices.
  • Conducts system end-user process audits and reports those findings and recommendations to Director of Clinical & Business Systems.
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of health systems applications related to functionality and limitations as applicable to workflow and operational needs.
  • Serves as a resource to Clinicians, Managers, and associates on the features, strengths, and weaknesses of the various applications and systems.
  • Create, cultivate, and manage relationships with vendor partners.
  • Other duties as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.
