Job Summary The Clinical Support Aide II (CSA II) is responsible for supporting the staff and operations of Prevea clinics. Under direct supervision, the CSA II can complete patient rooming, vital signs and maintenance of clinic rooms and supplies. The CSA II is enrolled and has completed at least one semester of MA/LPN/RN schooling or has completed the program but is not yet licensed/certified. The CSA II takes on additional roles such setting up and assisting providers with procedures and exams.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in and completed first semester of a MA, LPN, RN program OR have completed program but not yet licensed/certified Required
  • CPR/Basic Life support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program Upon Hire Required
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
  • Possess skills to effectively problem solve.
  • Proficient in the use of computer, phone, and office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Room patients by performing and documenting vital signs and placing patient in room
  • Maintain exams rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient's room.
  • Set up & assist providers with procedures and exams. After successfully completing department training, perform EKGs as appropriate per department.
  • Schedule noncomplex hospital and office tests or office visits as appropriate
  • Upon completion of appropriate Prevea course, check and document refrigerator temperatures. Disinfection and sterilization of instruments with completion of the autoclave training. Performs daily crash cart checks and start and end of day department check lists
