About The Position

The Clinical Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and managing clinical supply chain operations to ensure medical departments have the supplies and equipment needed to support patient care. As the primary supply chain role within the organization, this position oversees inventory management, purchasing coordination, and supply distribution while working closely with clinical staff, vendors, and administrative leadership. The supervisor ensures efficient supply processes, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports cost-effective supply utilization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Associate degree with relevant experience may be considered
  • 2–4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, materials management, or healthcare operations
  • Experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare supply chain environment preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze inventory and usage data
  • Leadership and team coordination skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration with clinical staff and vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25–30 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move items in supply or storage areas.
  • Manual dexterity to use computers and inventory systems.
  • Ability to read screens, labels, and supply documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience leading projects or coordinating staff activities is a plus
  • Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP)
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Lean or Six Sigma (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of clinical supplies and medical equipment.
  • Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to maintain adequate stock and prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Place and track supply orders with vendors and ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within supply chain or inventory management systems.
  • Work closely with clinical departments to understand supply needs and resolve supply-related issues.
  • Evaluate supply usage and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining supply chain procedures and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with finance and leadership regarding purchasing, budgeting, and supply expenses.
  • Support audits, reporting, and operational improvement initiatives related to clinical supply management.
