About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor at Alum Rock Counseling Center (ARCC) is responsible for providing clinical supervision to staff across multiple programs, ensuring compliance with mental health policies and best practices. This role involves overseeing the quality of client care, conducting individual and group supervision, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery for a diverse population of children, adolescents, and families.

Requirements

  • CA LCSW or LMFT/LPCC and two years clinical supervision experience (preferred).
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience with children, youth, and families, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Three years of experience working in a Medi-Cal driven environment (preferred).
  • Excellence in Medi-Cal documentation.
  • Proven history of extreme attention to detail and punctuality in reviewing Medi-Cal documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of diagnosis, clinical terminology, and best practices.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Evidence Based Practices including Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with low-income and ethnic minority populations strongly desired.

  • Experience providing individual, group, family, and collateral sessions with parents.
  • Experience working within various systems: Probation, DFCS, and Education.
  • Experience working in and leading crisis intervention efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual and group supervision to associates/trainees and counselors.
  • Review and ensure the quality of client charts, including approval of progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans.
  • Monitor client care to ensure compliance with program outcomes and effective treatment.
  • Provide consultation to agency staff on behavioral health best practices.
  • Act as a field instructor for MSW/MFT interns on field practicum assignments.
  • Assist Clinical Director in the identification, implementation, and continuous improvement of the agency's training program.
  • Assist in monthly and/or annual audits of program charts as needed.
  • Attend training sessions provided by funding sources for professional growth.
  • Provide on-call consultation as needed.
  • Complete requirements for 5150 evaluator and consultant.
  • Participate in Policy and Procedure workgroups.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Psychiatrist for best practices.
