About The Position

DermCare Management is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to support Harris Dermatology in Fort Myers and Naples, Florida. This role serves as the right hand to the Office Manager, providing hands-on leadership and operational oversight of all clinical staff and workflows across three locations. The Clinical Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring consistent, high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient clinical operations in a fast-paced, multi-site dermatology practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or higher-level clinical role, with supervisory or lead experience required.
  • Certification or licensure as a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, RN, or higher from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated experience with sterile technique, injections, specimen handling, and EMR documentation.
  • Technologically proficient with EMR systems and clinical equipment.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of dermatology clinical workflows preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage, and supervise all clinical support staff across multiple locations, ensuring consistent standards and workflows.
  • Partner closely with the Office Manager, physicians, advanced practice providers, and DermCare corporate leadership to execute practice goals and operational priorities.
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, performance management, and corrective action for clinical staff.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing coverage and cross-training to meet patient volume and provider schedules.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture within a diverse, multi-generational workforce.
  • Provide day-to-day clinical oversight, stepping in as needed to support Medical Assistants and clinical teams.
  • Assist with patient-facing needs, including triaging calls and portal messages, coordinating follow-up care, and supporting biopsy and pathology workflows.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR and timely communication of lab and pathology results to providers and patients.
  • Oversee room readiness, patient flow, and clinical efficiency to optimize the patient experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, and bloodborne pathogen standards.
  • Maintain and update clinical procedure manuals and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Oversee sterilization, infection control, and equipment maintenance to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Coordination and documentation required staff training, including OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other mandatory in-services.
  • Manage medical, cosmetic, and biopsy supply inventory with a focus on cost control and appropriate PAR levels.
  • Monitor inventory for expiration dates and proper storage of drugs, samples, and supplies.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair of clinical equipment, including lasers, autoclaves, and exam chairs.
  • Liaise with vendors, laboratories, and referring providers to support smooth clinical operations.
