Clinical Supervisor - Substance Abuse & Specialty Court Programs Provide supervision and guidance in regards to justice involved consumers. Provide case consultation Effectively communicate and guide team members regarding any urgent court or staffing issues. Ensure Clinical Supervisor and staff are adequately trained: In the ASI and ASAM Supervise completion of ASI/ASAM by staff and fill in when necessary. Coordinate with inpatient SA and MH facilities. Manages a group of employees: Assists clinical staff with providing advocacy, linkage, referral, and crisis intervention services to client/participants who have a court involved in their treatment. Responsible for communication flow between the court and agency staff regarding participant status and progress. Develops and maintains positive working relationship with members of the interdisciplinary court team. Responsible for ensuring that communication between the court system and the agency follows HIPAA and CFR-42 regulations. Coordinate and deploy staff based on trends and emerging program/agency needs. Provide comprehensive substance abuse specific orientation on job duties, client demographics, and related program matters. Review and utilize data such as LOCUS reports, HIE, Population Health Management, MIN report, and other information sources, such as dashboards and registries. to improve health outcomes at the individual level. Maintain a close working relationship with Program Director to achieve program goals and objectives Inform the Program Director in a timely manner of all relevant political substance abuse and co-occurring specific, financial, clinical, and liability issues and make recommendations for any changes in procedures. Identify new programs or business opportunities that meet the community's substance abuse and justice involved populations needs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - CORE: 1. Demonstrate advanced clinical practice skills and knowledge in the specific program area Be familiar with CCBHC standards, understand the history, philosophy, structure and purpose of CCBHC and demonstrate fidelity to the model. Demonstrate understanding of various best-practice treatment models to work with individuals with Severe Mental Illness, Co-occurring disorders, and trauma. Understand the focus of CCBHC services, assisting clients in multiple life areas through multi-disciplinary teamwork and community referral. Oversees the performance of the therapists, case managers, care coordinators, PRSS, outreach workers and other clinical staff Leads CCBHC staff meetings to identify potential CCBHC participants and establish work assignments for the following day(s). Work collaboratively with other CCBHC, psychiatric services, primary care consultants and other programs as a member of the participant care team. Coordinates and oversees service provision for individuals. Identify and implement emerging evidence based practices, curriculums, assessment tools and initiate process for dissemination and training of staff to assure commitment to service excellence. Promote clinical competence by assuring that clinical services adhere to evidenced based -practices. Develop expertise in the clinical program component supervised by maintaining rigorous personal growth and development plan. Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring disorders and appropriate interventions. Demonstrate ability to communicate strong ethical standards & resolve ethical dilemmas with staff. Foster effective working relationships and problem solving between clients, families and staff. Provide back-up clinical care to clients when assigned staff is unavailable. Assure that all clinical practice and treatment interventions, curriculums, and other service delivery strategies are culturally appropriate for the clients served. 2. Provide clinical supervision and case consultation Attend and participate in daily organizational meetings and integrated treatment team meetings with multi-disciplinary team to utilize a team based care approach when working with clients. Ensure integrated treatment teams are structured staffing including but not limited to; team huddles, team meetings, and case conferences Ensure CCBHC Outpatient services incorporate principals of Team Based Care, ensuring that the needed and preferred services of clients are addressed and provided by appropriate staff as identified. 3. Promote Professional growth, development and training Participate in local and national trainings on CCBHC best practices. Ensure that staff obtains necessary training for skill development, and adherence to licensure /certification standards. Ensure that supervisees are trained regarding: Assessment, engagement, and treatment skills· Effective documentation of clinical records. Strength-based assessment and treatment models Ways to avoid malpractice. Assessment tools related to mental illness, and emotional and/or behavioral issues, co-occurring disorders, trauma and the ability to use the Diagnostic Statistical Manual Identify and disseminate articles, research and other professional information to staff. Identify staff training needs to be addressed by the agency clinical training department 4. Manage a group of employees Provides guidance to staff on departmental philosophy, agency culture, goals and objectives, policies and procedures through supervision, staff meetings and work reviews. Provide a positive team orientated environment making sure standards are met and clients receive cultural sensitive and compassionate care. Demonstrate effective leadership skills in day-to day program operations. Assures adequate staffing by timely and successful employee recruitment, interviews, and recommendations for the hiring of new staff members. Coordinate and deploy staff based on trends and emerging program/agency needs. Provide comprehensive orientation on job duties, client demographics, and related program matters. Demonstrate ability to retain quality staff. Identify and communicate in a swift manner performance problems of supervised staff; follow up according to agency protocols. Provide performance feedback to clinical staff, clarify expectations, and take corrective action when needed. 5. Provide leadership in Performance Quality Improvement initiatives Oversee treatment progress and outcomes Conduct utilization review ensuring clients receive the appropriate level of care and dosage of service. Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives Use PQI data for staff development May serve on PQI committees and workgroups Actively participate in clinical supervisor's academy and other PQI groups Perform ongoing reviews of clinical charts to ensure adherence to clinical documentation standards, compliance with laws and regulations and quality consumer care. Use data, outcomes and evaluation to drive decisions and improve performance of each direct report Contribute to developing outcomes, key performance indicators and setting targets

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a mental health or related specialty.
  • Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Must also have LADC for Substance Abuse related positions.
  • 3-5 years' clinical experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
