About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing clinical staff and services at a designated site to ensure high-quality mental health treatment that promotes client independence and family empowerment. This role provides leadership in delivering individual and group counseling services while ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. The Clinical Supervisor supports staff development, program effectiveness, and client success through direct care, supervision, and administrative oversight. Location Bakersfield Ca.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field, or Ph.D./Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Licensed as LCSW, MFT, or Clinical Psychologist eligible for independent practice (minimum two years preferred)
  • Minimum five years of experience in mental health care (inpatient/outpatient) with at least two years post-licensure
  • Experience in clinical supervision, case management, and group leadership
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation philosophy and mental health best practices
  • Familiarity with Short Doyle (preferred) and First Aid Certification (may be required)
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Valid California driver’s license, auto insurance, and proof of education required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of clinical services within the clinic
  • Consult regularly with leadership to provide updates on program performance and needs
  • Facilitate staff meetings to ensure communication, alignment, and effective treatment planning
  • Provide direct client care including individual, family, and group therapy, discharge planning, and coordination with referral sources
  • Coordinate with external clinicians, medical director, and nursing staff regarding treatment and medication evaluations
  • Complete and submit required reports, including Quality Assurance documentation
  • Conduct utilization reviews and maintain proper documentation for program clients
  • Collaborate with Program Director to develop and implement clinical programming
  • Audit client charts to ensure compliance with documentation standards
  • Provide consultation and education to community organizations and service providers
  • Support staff in managing complex cases and psychiatric emergencies
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries
  • Monitor and adhere to departmental budgets and assist in budget development
  • Perform administrative duties aligned with program needs
  • Participate in staff meetings and program planning sessions
  • Transport clients as needed to support community integration (use of personal vehicle required)
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
