About The Position

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical and administrative leadership for our WISe (Wraparound with Intensive Services) program. In this role, you will guide multidisciplinary staff, support complex wraparound work with families, and ensure clinical services align with WISe standards and agency expectations. You will balance supervision, consultation, and direct clinical support while strengthening systems of care for youth and families. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health.
  • Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
  • Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration.
  • Must meet and maintain the definition of a Mental Health Professional as defined in WAC 388-877-0500.
  • Child Mental Health Specialist.
  • This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency. Therefore, the incumbent must meet all agency driving requirements, including being at least 21 years old, having been licensed for a minimum of three years, successfully completing a motor vehicle history check, possessing and maintaining a current, valid driver’s license in the state of Washington, and having reliable, insured transportation.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health, including health care reform and automation of job tasks using computer technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Expert (established subject matter expert, 7+ years of experience)
  • Experience working on a Wraparound team.
  • Experience in co-occurring disorders treatment, individual and group therapy, or substance abuse treatment.
  • Two years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Washington License (LICSW, LMFT or LMHC).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance evaluation of WISe staff; update job descriptions and monitor training requirements as needed.
  • Consult regularly with the WISe Clinical Program Manager and Child & Family leadership regarding clinical and administrative operations.
  • Provide strengths‑based supervision that builds staff capacity, critical thinking skills, and clinical effectiveness.
  • Offer supportive coaching to Family Partners and serve as an expert facilitator for high‑profile or complex family situations.
  • Ensure accurate data collection and documentation in compliance with agency policies, WAC requirements, and WISe standards; maintain high‑quality client records.
  • Provide system training and oversight of data entry in the Behavioral Health Assessment System (BHAS).
  • Ensure 24/7 WISe crisis coverage and support staff in delivering effective crisis interventions; consult with the Crisis Response Team (CRT) and make appropriate referrals as needed.
  • Maintain fidelity to the WISe model and manual, ensuring services reflect program intent and best practices.
  • Oversee creation and ongoing updates of each family’s Plan of Care; ensure plans reflect the family’s needs, team mission, and long‑term vision and are updated following each CFT meeting.
  • Provide on‑site clinical support to staff and coordinate coverage as operational needs arise.
  • Serve as an active member of the KMHS supervisory team and represent the agency positively in the community. Develop collaborative relationships with child‑serving systems and provide consultation, education, and training to internal and external partners as appropriate.
