POSITION SUMMARY: The - Psych/Social Work Svcs Supervisor is an independently licensed clinician (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) in the State of New Mexico. The Psych/Social Work Svcs Supervisor assists patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to achieve their optional level of emotional health. Consultation, teaching, individual, group, family therapy, crisis intervention and information and referrals as needed are provided. Supervision of all therapists, intervention specialists, discharge planners, and interns while ensuring required documentation is complete and timely. (If Supervisory license is obtained, will provide licensing supervision for staff seeking to be independently licensed). The - Psych/Social Work Svcs Supervisor will provide unit coverage, cover patient care sessions and treatment team meetings in the event therapists are out for illness and/or planned time off or vacancies occur. The - Psych/Social Work Svcs Supervisor may assist with the development of programs and treatment work as clinically indicated. Attendance/participation in monthly chart audit reviews and providing feedback to supervisees is essential. The Psych/Social Work Svcs Supervisor will act as the DCS when the individual is out for illness and/or planned time off or vacancies occur. Workloads may include days, nights, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Mental demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job, but are not limited to the ability to remain calm in a stressful environment and the emotional stability, physical stamina and agility to handle stress and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or another human services field.
  • May be licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor or Licensed Independent Social Worker.
  • Must be independently licensed and have approval to provide clinical supervision through appropriate Board.
  • Individual, family, group therapies and crisis intervention is required.
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills and organizational skills.
  • Awareness of community resources and ability to coordinate and link client to appropriate services.
