We provide direct services, empowerment programming, and advocacy to support marginalized individuals and families, especially women and girls of color, while working to challenge structural barriers to equity. Position Summary The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for outpatient mental health and social service support for the Survivor Empowerment Services (SES) department. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision for SES therapists pursuing licensure (as appropriate), case managers, interns and/or students. Programmatic services include individual and group therapy, support groups, crisis intervention responding to SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) and 24/7 Sexual Assault Hotline. The Clinical Supervisor will provide not provide direct services.

  • Collaborate with Clinical Manager, Survivor Empowerment Services Director and Chief Program Officer to strengthen and expand the clinical program design, planning and implementation.
  • Oversee team consultations to review and discuss client treatment plan creation and follow up for assigned cases. May provide direct support with more complex cases.
  • Ensure completion of biopsychosocial assessments, creating trauma informed treatment plans, developing treatment goals, infusing and training on the trauma informed approach and administer discharge planning
  • Create integrated systems of treatment using social service referrals to appropriate agencies that support client goals
  • Ensure all information and materials for individual staff therapists, interns and clients is secure, safe and confidential
  • Responsible for, and acts as the lead staff in coordinating individual and group supervision for clinical therapists and interns who are pursuing licensure.
  • Abide by all legal and ethical guidelines associated with professional organizations in the clinical field (e.g., NASW/Board of Behavioral Sciences)
  • Develop positive relationships with academic programs at local universities and colleges so that learning agreements and evaluations for clinital interns are completed
  • Act as the field/practicum instructor for clinical interns
  • Develop and implement annual outreach plan to appropriate graduate programs to recruit the needed number of clinical interns
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or counseling related field, with valid CA license (LCSW, LMFT)
  • Five or more years of clinical practice experience with experience in a supervisory or managerial position
  • California Certification for Sexual ASsault Crisis Counselor Training and/or Domestic Violence Training desirable. Current certification required or must be obtained as a condition of continued employment
  • Ability to work with individuals who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking
  • Experience working with diverse cultures and demonstrated ability to work with people of various ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientation and gender identities
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
