About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor will provide leadership and clinical oversight for Amity’s direct service faculty.

Requirements

  • Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of substance abuse; appreciation for the behavioral, psychological, physical and social effects of drug abuse.
  • Operational knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Ability to provide program participants with frequent acknowledgment and reinforcement for positive behaviors, as well as consistent and predictable feedback for negative behaviors, which may include reporting violations to staff.
  • Ability to develop a treatment alliance with participants.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written communications and typing skills.
  • Ensure that excellence and integrity are applied to professional responsibilities in order to provide optimal services to participants.
  • Understand and appropriately apply Amity policies and procedures and adhere to agency-wide practices and regulations.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior in order to maintain professional standards and safeguard the participant.
  • Protect and maintain program participants’ health, safety, welfare, and confidentiality of records and participant information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical advising to all faculty supporting the project.
  • Share a regular rotation providing after-hours on-call supervision of organization-wide clinical services.
  • Provide clinical crisis interventions with clients and their treatment team, which includes mental health providers, probation officers, housing case managers, and Amity case managers.
  • Plan and schedule ongoing workload assignments, adjust project priorities in consultation with Amity Management, and prepare work completion schedules.
  • Provide consultation about clinical and administrative issues to other resources as requested.
  • Function as a liaison between the DHS and the project to reduce system-level barriers, implement innovative strategies and interventions, and align contract and scope of work with Amity Foundations' integrated services approach.
  • Supporting the learning and practice of the teaching and Therapeutic Community model as well as training faculty that incorporates essential elements of the Teaching and Therapeutic Community.
  • Ongoing participation in faculty training and other fidelity to the model training as well as DHS required training.
  • Attend workshops, meetings, and trainings as requested by supervisor.
  • May serve as Community Advocate role in addition to job as requested by community leadership.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
