About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day operational and administrative oversight of clinic staff to ensure efficient clinic operations, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient-centered care. This position is expected to function approximately 50% in the clinic in either clerical, clinical, or a combination of both, and 50% in administrative responsibilities as directed by the Clinical Manager. The role works collaboratively with clinic leadership, providers, and support staff to maintain workflow efficiency, staff performance, and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant, EFDA, or other relevant clinical credential preferred
  • CPR / First Aid certification preferred
  • Experience working in an FQHC or similar clinical environment
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Nepali, or French preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support, and coordinate daily activities of assigned clinical and administrative staff
  • Assign work, manage staffing schedules, and ensure appropriate coverage for clinic operations
  • Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and payroll-related practices; address deviations as needed
  • Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of staff
  • Ensure compliance with Hamilton Health Center policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission requirements
  • Serve as a point of contact for patient concerns and operational issues; collaborate with providers and leadership to resolve matters
  • Maintain clinic documentation, office files, and administrative records in accordance with policy
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, follow-ups, and oversight of abnormal results to ensure continuity of care
  • Support inventory management, supply ordering, and facility needs in coordination with leadership
  • Participate in hiring recommendations, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
  • Attend meetings, prepare reports as needed, and facilitate regular staff communication
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties within the general scope of the position as assigned
