About The Position

The Clinical Supervisor at One Family Illinois is responsible for supervision, oversight, and direction of the Clinical Therapy team at all One Family Illinois Villages and the In Home Family Services provided through our CASA Tepeyac site, in a manner that effectively utilizes these resources and meets all contractual requirements, as well as the needs of program clients. The Clinical Supervisor oversees and coordinates an array of treatment modalities provided to assigned clients, including the provision of individual, group, and family therapy. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision, leadership and direction to assigned clinicians; clinical services, in-home family services, to ensure appropriate therapy and behavioral health services are provided to assigned clients in assigned programs. They are expected to coordinate with appropriate 3rd party providers; provide training on clinical issues as needed to other employees; and conduct clinical supervision and leadership organization-wide.

Requirements

  • A Master’s of Social Work from an accredited program, or relevant Master’s Degree.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in clinical practices.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • An LCSW or LCPC.
  • Certified in administration of IM-CANS, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid Illinois driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass the required DCFS criminal background check.
  • Ability to work with DCFS, courts, and other social service systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organization and coordination skills.
  • Sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and staff.
  • Ability to relate to clients and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a tobacco and alcohol, and drug-free environment.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local residential childcare facility, mental health, substance abuse, and dual diagnosis statutes and regulations.
  • Demonstrated appropriate decision-making skills without direct supervision.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse, and dual diagnostic treatment philosophies and modalities required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical documentation to ensure it is timely, accurate, well written, and meets all internal and external standards.
  • Establish and maintain the mission of One Family Illinois by identifying societal and community needs.
  • Advocate the agency’s philosophy both internally and externally.
  • Assist in the development of program goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate formal relationships with outside providers to ensure quality services.
  • Maintain the stability and reputation of the organization by complying with legal and accreditation/certification requirements.
  • Work with officials of funding agencies and related service agencies.
  • Budget and control expenses; work with Medicaid billing requirements.
  • Actively collaborate with Village leadership, case management, and Foster Parents.
  • Develop systems and structures that ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Supervise the therapeutic team, including interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating staff.
  • Manage clinical intern program; liaison with Academic institutions.
  • Promote positive agency image by presenting program services to the community.
  • Maintain and enhance own professional and technical knowledge.
  • Manage 24 hour on-call Behavioral Health Services team.
  • Provide consultation to foster and biological parents of clients and case managers.
  • Network with appropriate agencies and professionals for timely referrals.
  • Schedule quarterly foster parent conferences to review therapeutic goals.
  • Prepare quarterly reports for clients, ACR’s and Court reports.
  • Provide clinical and professional supervision to unlicensed therapeutic staff.
  • Review, develop and implement treatment and termination plans.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required by Chief Operating Officer.
  • Develop workshops and presentations to address the needs of clients and the community.
