About The Position

The position involves creating and implementing nursing policies to foster a positive and organized work environment while planning, prioritizing, and assigning health care tasks to clinical support team members. The role ensures that clinical staff are properly trained and educated on medications, conducts periodic quality reviews to prevent medication errors, and performs and updates competencies regularly. It encourages all staff to adhere to the highest standards in patient care and conducts regular staff reviews. The position maintains direct communication between patients, nursing staff, practice administrator, and physicians, and communicates with patients and their family members as needed, offering emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress. Additionally, the role assists in triaging patients for the Palliative Care provider and works with providers during times of staff shortage. It also involves managing patient and clinical employee records with a focus on following HIPAA regulations and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN Program.
  • Current License to practice as an RN or LPN in North Carolina.
  • CPR training and certification.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
