About The Position

The GCU School of Education seeks a Clinical Supervisor to support teacher candidates in the field. Georgian Court University is searching for qualified candidates to supervise/evaluate pre-teachers in their methods and student teaching clinical experiences. Knowledge of content area of supervision and evaluation of what constitutes effective teaching. Candidates must be passionate about teaching and learning. Essential Functions: Provide clinical practice support and supervision to pre-service teacher candidates in the P-12 setting Observe candidates in action Complete written evaluations of candidate's performance in classroom and professional dispositions Confer with cooperating teachers Serve as a liaison between the University and schools Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in related field and NJ Supervisor certificate required.
  • Early Childhood, Elementary or Specific Content for Secondary and teaching experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience teaching students with disabilities required; NJ Students with Disabilities endorsement preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use instructional technology (internet, instructional software)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
