Schedule Flexible day shift schedule designed to support work/life balance Salary Negotiable based on experience Position Overview The RN Director of Nursing is responsible for the clinical and operational functions of the assisted living residence, including managing and determining appropriate human and financial resources to further the organization's goals. This leadership role works closely with the Executive Director and team members to ensure quality care, regulatory compliance, and a positive environment for residents and staff.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota
  • Minimum of five years of nursing experience, preferably in Assisted Living and/or home health care
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful, team-oriented, and supportive work culture

Nice To Haves

  • Public Health Nurse Certificate and bachelor's degree in nursing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure quality of care and regulatory compliance by providing oversight and direction to all levels of nursing staff
  • Implement the nursing process including assessment, case management, diagnosis, planning, goal setting, implementation, and evaluation according to MDH licensing
  • Meet with clients and families to complete admission paperwork and explain care plans and responsibilities; participate in care conferences as needed
  • Monitor funding sources and prior authorizations to ensure accurate and timely billing; assist with collections as necessary
  • Supervise and coordinate accurate and complete documentation for clients and staff
  • Delegate nursing functions according to state licensure and agency policies while maintaining compliance with county, state, and federal regulations
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director or Regional Manager on additional operational needs
  • Support marketing efforts to maintain strong census and financial stability
  • Develop and maintain referral relationships with county social workers, hospital discharge planners, and other community partners
  • Participate in annual clinical budgeting and strategic planning initiatives
