About The Position

The mission of the Clinical Supervisor of in-center programming (group supervisor) at ACES is to elevate the standards in the treatment of Autism by overseeing and executing Applied Behavioral Analysis to create the best possible outcomes for ACES’ center-based clients. Clinical Supervisor of center programming is primarily responsible for designing, modifying, implementing and supervising Applied Behavioral Analysis (“ABA”) designed to decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase social and communication skills for in-center clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders (“ASD”) and/or other special needs. Additionally, this position supports Behavior Therapists in skill development, career development, and adherence to ACES’ policies and procedures. This position reports to the local Clinical Director.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with only general supervision
  • 2+ years’ experience working with clients with ASD or other special needs
  • 2+ years training and/or education related to ASD
  • Minimum master’s degree in psychology, education, social work or another related field
  • Comfortable working in clinic setting
  • Strong desire to support and develop skills and abilities of staff
  • Highly organized
  • Professional, positive attitude and appearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Direct work with clients may include, without limitation, the following physical demands: sitting, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting and turning, reaching above shoulders and/or frequent physical transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining in-center capacity at a healthy level (80% or higher) and/or in-center PF (prescription fulfillment) of approximately 70% or higher in collaboration with CD
  • Maintenance and up-keep of in-center space utilization and management
  • Responsible for any changes as they relate to in-center programs (i.e., moving locations, changes in curriculum/rotation schedules, space optimization etc.)
  • QPI score action item implementation
  • Provider and Client CTI monitoring and communication in collaboration with OM. Notify clinical supervisor and CD if documentation required (i.e., PSP)
  • Modeling of in-center staff on curriculum, program implementation, rotation schedule, and modifications as needed in vivo
  • Monitor implementation of in-center program curriculum across all age groups
  • Overseeing group programming material needs and preparation (this may be delegated to direct level or admin staff)
  • Communication to clinical and admin teams for modifications to in-center programming set-up and implementation as well as program offerings
  • Identify, train and provide ongoing support and clinical direction to group leaders (initial training is recorded, on-going training should be done in vivo while group leaders and supervisor of in-center programing are billing in group sessions)
  • Placing clients in the appropriate group's based on skill level and pre-requites
  • Monitor appropriate group placement for clients enrolled in in-center programs
  • Monitor 1:1 client transition into the group by providing direct supervision and collaboration with clinical supervisor on transition plan and appropriateness
  • Providing verbal and written feedback for Behavior Technicians in center-complete TPF’s (3) monthly
  • Regularly supervising and directing work of Behavior Technicians with in-center clients and collaborating with clinical supervisor when additional support is needed
  • Ensuring in-center client goals are being individualized based on in-center program curriculum
  • Ensuring behavior plans are individualized for in-center programs
  • Problem solving needed client modifications and/or identifying additional support needs by clinical supervisors for in-center clients (i.e., BT needs support in creating opportunities to work on goals, problem solving client attending/engagement during structured activities) and modeling for staff if necessary in vivo
  • Supervising and developing community-based and generalization programs (i.e., CIP, focused groups etc.)
  • Problem solving challenging in-center situations (e.g., behavior concerns) with clients and staff with Clinical Supervisors and/or Clinical Director(s) support
  • While in-center, answering any parent questions or concerns related specifically to in-center programming curriculum and services offered
  • Providing tours of in-center if necessary
  • Bill 60-100% of hours in center
