About The Position

The LifeSet Clinical Supervisor provides clinical, operational, and people leadership to a team delivering the LifeSet model to young adults ages 17–23 transitioning from foster care to adulthood. This role is accountable for staff performance, service quality, documentation compliance, data accuracy, and model fidelity, while also serving as an active leader within the Older Youth Division. The Clinical Supervisor directly supervises 4–5 LifeSet Specialists and oversees their associated caseloads (8–10 participants per specialist). In addition to program-specific leadership, this role contributes to division-wide initiatives, cross-program collaboration, and planning youth- and staff-centered events that strengthen engagement, morale, and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field with a minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in child welfare or human services
  • Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff
  • Strong knowledge of child welfare systems, youth development, and family systems
  • Experience with crisis intervention and high-acuity populations
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, and participate in an on-call rotation is required.
  • Culturally responsive and sensitive to diverse, multi-cultural communities

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the clinical lead for the LifeSet team, ensuring adherence to the LifeSet model and Turning Points for Children’s Mission and Values.
  • Provide ongoing clinical guidance, including weekly group supervision and oversight of:
  • Treatment plans
  • Leadership Field Visits
  • Safety plans
  • High acuity cases
  • Intervention strategies and engagement approaches
  • All program model fidelity elements and documentation
  • Collaborate with the Youth Villages Clinical Consultant, attending consultation and implementing recommended staff development strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention support and participate in the 24/7 on-call rotation as scheduled.
  • Directly supervise 4–5 LifeSet Specialists, including oversight of caseload management and service delivery.
  • Conduct individual supervision, group supervision, and team meetings.
  • Use a strength-based, solution-focused approach to assess staff performance and developmental needs.
  • Create and monitor individual professional development plans for each specialist.
  • Lead or coordinate trainings and skill-building opportunities to support continuous professional growth.
  • Conduct field supervision and joint visits to ensure staff competency, engagement quality, and model fidelity.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all documentation, service records, and contractual requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain direct responsibility for the accuracy, review, and submission of the Program Model Review.
  • Review session documentation and data reports to ensure integrity and audit readiness.
  • Identify documentation trends or gaps and provide supportive coaching and follow-up.
  • Support staff in operationalizing new processes, policy updates, and program innovations.
  • Ensure appropriate coverage planning for staff absences (vacation, sick leave, vacancies).
  • Support staff during court appearances, collateral meetings, and complex case situations.
  • Manage and approve program-related expenditures in accordance with agency policy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support effective program operations.
  • Serve as an active member of the Older Youth Division leadership team, contributing to planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate across Older Youth programs to promote alignment and shared best practices.
  • Support the planning and execution of division-wide events, including:
  • Youth engagement and enrichment activities
  • Staff recognition and morale-building events
  • Community outreach and partnership events
  • Participate in division-wide initiatives, audits, trainings, and special projects as assigned.
  • Represent the LifeSet program and Older Youth Division in interdepartmental meetings and public forums as needed.
  • All other responsibilities as assigned.
