About The Position

Jefferson Healthcare supports the education and clinical development of future healthcare professionals by offering structured clinical placements to students enrolled in accredited academic programs. These placements are governed by a formal affiliation agreement with the student's institution and are designed to meet programmatic requirements while upholding patient safety and care standards. The following guidelines and rules apply to all clinical student situations and participants: Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited healthcare-related academic program that requires clinical experience to meet graduation or licensure requirements If you are unsure if your academic institution has a current, fully executed affiliation agreement with Jefferson Healthcare, please contact your institution's respective coordinator The school's coordinator must first contact Jefferson Healthcare's Education Department via [email protected] to initiate placement request Once approved, any student interested in clinical placement or preceptorship must submit their application via this opening Requests must be submitted at least six (6) weeks in advance and include program name, placement dates, total hours required, and preferred departments, as indicated within the application Employee Health Requirements: Proof of up-to-date immunizations including TB, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza, and COVID-19 (or exemptions if applicable) Background checks (national and WA State Patrol/WATCH), OIG/GSA exclusion checks Drug screening is required Current healthcare insurance BLS/CPR certification as required by the clinical role Completion of required orientation and on-boarding prior to start date Limitations and Exclusions: Placements may be suspended during high census periods, staffing shortages, or public health emergencies Students may not exceed the duration or hours approved in their placement Employees of Jefferson Healthcare participating as students must perform only within their student scope during clinical placements and will not receive any compensation Where do I get my vaccination records?
