About The Position

This part-time position (20 hours per pay period) is located in the Pharmacy department at Miami Valley Hospital. Under the supervision of Pharmacy Leadership and according to standard procedures, the role involves compounding and dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care upon receiving provider orders, and performing all duties necessary for the effective daily operation of departmental services and programs. Responsibilities include medication dosing and monitoring by provider referral, active participation in codes, supervising interns and technicians in assigned work areas, training pharmacy students and technicians, and participating in clinical research protocols and drug therapy research activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.S.Pharm) from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Ohio pharmacist licensure in good standing or eligible for licensure with the State of Ohio.
• ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Nice To Haves

• PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy.
• Greater than or equal to a six month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
