About The Position

As a Clinical Specialist for the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), you will play a key role in the development and implementation of individualized recovery plans. You will collaborate closely with the PACT team and other service providers to ensure clients receive evidence-based care that promotes recovery, stability, and community integration. Demonstrates competency in delivering Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Universal Substance Abuse Screening, effectively engaging individuals served through engagement, assessment, and intervention.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human services discipline (social work, psychology, or related field)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of post-bachelor's experience in the provision of mental health services, specifically working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
  • Knowledge of community resources and agencies
  • Possession of a valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets organizational standards and qualifies for insurance coverage.
  • Willingness to work a flexible 40-hour weekly schedule
  • A Background Check is required
  • Clear Five year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by organizations carrier

Responsibilities

  • Participates in daily team meetings and case reviews
  • Provides individual and group counseling using evidence-based approaches
  • Provide emergency mental health assessments
  • Consults with medical staff on client medication needs
  • Delivers education and support to clients' families and support systems
  • Regular assessment of client progress
  • Coordination with community providers
  • Transportation services that promote client independence
  • Part of the on-call rotation with other PACT team members
  • Contributes to ongoing quality improvement initiatives
