About The Position

The Clinical Specialist I, CPT position at Abbott Laboratories involves providing technical clinical expertise and support to the sales process for Chronic Pain Therapies. Requirements

  • Associates Degree or technical certification; preferred Bachelor's Degree.
  • 1 - 2 years work experience, preferably in a clinical setting with patient interaction.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to communicate clinical data effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Capable of multitasking and managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model.
  • 1-3 years' experience with Abbott or in a similar spinal cord stimulation setting.
  • Patient interaction experience within a healthcare-related environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, clinical, and programming assistance primarily in support of 1-2 Territory Managers.
  • Assist Territory Managers in after-hours call support and activities.
  • Integrate into all accounts, building trust and relationships with customers.
  • Proficiently handle complex programming and case support.
  • Conduct educational in-services and training for medical professionals on the use of company products.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned accounts and customers, including competitor activity.
  • Collect and study information about new and existing products and monitor competitor sales, prices, and products.
  • Provide feedback to providers on the directions for use specific to implantable devices.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to discuss new product developments and meet clients.
  • Identify customer training needs to increase usage and understanding of Abbott Chronic Pain Therapies.
