About The Position

The Clinical Specialist is a licensed nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system. Must possess advanced knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to apply standards within the Inpatient and/or Outpatient practice areas. E4 is a 28-bed ICU unit located in the Harry P. & Betty Jo Ward Towers where care is provided for a wide variety of Medical, Neurology, Neuro-Surgical and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a highly-trained all RN staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Four (4)+ years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years’ experience in the specialty area for the position
  • Two (2+) years’ experience in a leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or RN IV-level at UAMS)
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively
  • Ability to document services provided
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations/agencies
  • Excellent customer relations skills
  • Understands and abides by confidentiality policies

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN)
  • Experience in an academic medical setting
  • National Nursing Certification in the specialty area of for the position
