About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a full-time Clinical Social Worker to join our Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Team. This outpatient role enhances access to behavioral health services and supports population health. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, Psychologists, APRNs, RN Care Coordinators, and Primary Care Physicians, to provide evidence-based behavioral health care and coordinate transitional care and support related to social determinants of health. In this vital role, you will: Conduct diagnostic assessments, determine clinical interventions, facilitate crisis intervention, and deliver short-term psychotherapy and patient/family education. Develop and implement treatment and transition plans. Refer patients to community resources to address barriers related to social determinants of health. Serve as an active member of an interdisciplinary team by participating in huddles and case consultation meetings. Contribute to Mayo Clinic's mission of research, practice, and education. Ensure compliance with medical and legal standards and serve as a resource for allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work and Department of Nursing. This position includes specified billable patient contact hours, depending on assigned unit or site.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work
  • Two years of supervised therapy experience in behavioral health and/or medical social work including diagnostic assessment, individual, group, and family therapy
  • Current LCSW or LICSW through the Minnesota Board of Social Work (MN BOSW)
  • Advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, and various treatment modalities, along with skills in conducting individual, group, and family therapy
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, multidisciplinary teams, and community agencies
  • Psychosocial diagnostic expertise and experience addressing barriers related to social determinants of health
