About The Position

The Clinical Social Worker provides direct clinical care to patients in the Triumph Program from admission to discharge. Provides individual and group therapy, facilitates family meetings and collects collateral from outside providers, and prepares discharge plans. The Clinical Social Worker will interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient-centered, evidence-based, high-quality care for patients. The Triumph Program, a residential program for complex trauma and dissociation, is an intensive psychotherapy-based program treating individuals with complex trauma and dissociative disorders. This program treats a maximum of 8 patients at a time focused on intensive psychodynamic individual and group psychotherapy to help stabilize post-traumatic and dissociative symptoms. Working with this population also involves treating comorbid mood, eating, obsessive compulsive, pseudopsychotic, and substance use symptoms and disorders. This program treats high acuity and high risk patients in a residential setting. This program is highly specialized and intensive training and supervision is built into the weekly schedule to support the Clinical Social Worker and the team as a whole. Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field. Experience: LCSW/LPC required or LCSW/LPC test eligible within 3 months of application Experience working with psychiatric patients required Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills, and be able to flourish in a fast-paced environment. The Ideal Candidate: Has some experience or knowledge of trauma and/or dissociative symptoms/disorders. Motivated and enthusiastic to learn a highly specialized treatment approach and clinical programming. Able to maintain strong boundaries with patients and families. Able to maintain strong boundaries with oneself to tolerate working with highly traumatized patients. Can work flexibly to meet the needs of a high acuity/high risk patient. Can think psychodynamically about a patient.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
  • LCSW/LPC required or LCSW/LPC test eligible within 3 months of application

Responsibilities

  • Carries a clinical caseload, conducts family therapeutic meetings utilizing biological, psychological, and systemic perspectives in understanding patients and their families to develop treatment plans and interventions from those perspectives appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Works cohesively with other team members and is a contributor to the team; actively communicating with the Director of Social Work and other Social Workers, as needed.
  • Ensures care provided is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Holds themself accountable to helping the patient and family achieve desired results, understanding and identifying professional strengths, limitations, and challenges.
  • Actively participates in clinical rounds, team consultation, & social work staff meetings/trainings.
  • Attends and actively participates in the Triumph team group psychotherapy supervision and individual supervision.
  • Reads weekly journal articles for the Triumph team weekly journal group.
  • Facilitates discharge planning and implementation.
  • Conducts group therapy sessions with techniques appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Provides intern and/or staff supervision, as requested by the Director of Social Work or Deputy Director of Clinical Operations.
