About The Position

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a nonprofit founded in 1943, has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year. This is an exciting professional growth opportunity in the field of children’s mental health. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Social Worker to join our dynamic, team-oriented Family Matters Program. This is an exciting professional growth opportunity for Clinicians passionate about children’s mental health and community-based services. Family Matters provides intensive clinical and case management services to children and adolescents experiencing significant mental health challenges and to their families in southern Westchester County. Services are individualized and wrap around the child and family, and may include family, group, and individual counseling; psychiatric consultation and medication management; crisis intervention and prevention; recreation and respite services; parent education and training; and case management. The compensation range is $60,000-$75,000, and we offer an additional $5,000 for candidates who are bilingual in English/Spanish.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related clinical field; NYS licensure (LMSW/LCSW/LMHC)
  • Ability to travel to different to homes and different sites in the community; Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
  • Experience working with youth with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
  • Collaborative and adaptable professional who values continuous learning and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and case management services in community-based settings, including homes, schools, and other off-site locations.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation and required agency reports (e.g., clinician schedules, progress notes, treatment plans).
  • Monitor treatment goals and update treatment plans on a quarterly basis.
  • Collaborate with community partners, schools, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
