Clinical Social Worker I-Southern CI
About The Position
Position is located at Southern Correctional in Troy, NC. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides mental health services to offenders within a correctional facility. This role includes conducting mental health screenings, assessments, crisis intervention, suicide risk evaluations, treatment planning, and individual or group counseling. The LCSW collaborates with correctional staff, participates in restrictive housing reviews, and may perform risk assessments related to violent or sexual offenses. The position may require travel to other facilities, participation in on‑call rotations, and involvement in discharge and aftercare planning.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work (Required).
- Licensure is required from NC SW Certification and Licensure Board.
- One must fulfill all requirements for Licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing individual casework and facilitating group counseling.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychosocial issues.
- Strong understanding of community resources and how to integrate them into clinical social work practice.
