About The Position

The Clinical Social Worker (Health/CF) Safety position is a limited term role for 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or becoming permanent. The position is located at North Kern State Prison (NKSP) in Kern County, California. Under the general direction of the Senior Psychologist or the Supervising Psychiatric Social Worker, the Clinical Social Worker conducts assessments, diagnoses, develops treatment plans, and provides therapy to patients. The role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary treatment team and coordination with community resources.

Requirements

• Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science.
• Completion of a master's degree program from an accredited school of social work approved by the Council on Social Work Education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and summarize case information for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate in the formulation of diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
• Monitor and modify treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide assessments, group therapy, and collateral conferences.
• Document and evaluate patients' progress in treatment.
• Coordinate placement with community resources and Classification and Parole Representatives.
