Utilizing clinical social work techniques and theory, the Clinical Social Worker consults on, assesses, and intervenes with high-risk patients and their families regarding the impact and amelioration of emotional and social problems. Key duties include conducting psychosocial assessments, making a psychosocial diagnosis, and planning and implementing effective treatments, evaluation, education, supervision, coaching, and mentoring of patients and their family members. The role involves consultation, collaboration, and communication with a wide range of social, governmental, and legal agencies, courts, schools, clinics, other hospitals, physicians, and various other sources to ensure comprehensive patient care. This position is for the Menino 7 Department, with a schedule of 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and requires working one weekend per month and one holiday per year.
