The Office of Professional Education (OPE) at Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts supports faculty and student endeavors in the classroom and across campus. OPE ensures excellence in teaching in collaboration with academic and clinical departments, manages curriculum and program development, facilitates faculty development, maintains student information, scheduling, and grading systems, and provides support for the university learning management system and education tools. Within OPE is the Joseph Kelley, D.V.M. Simulation Laboratory. The simulation laboratory supports curricular delivery for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students, including all aspects of teaching and assessment of hands-on clinical skills, using simulators, cadavers, and live animals (cats, dogs, and exotic animals). The simulation laboratory also supports electives, extracurricular club activities, and continuing education opportunities. This position supports day-to-day educational, operational, and compliance functions of the Joseph Kelley, D.V.M. Simulation Laboratory, with a particular focus on Clinical Skills and Communication (CSC) courses. Working collaboratively with the Clinical Skills Administrative Coordinator, the position also provides backup administrative support for CSC courses as needed. The position reports to the Kelley Simulation Laboratory Manager, with a dotted line relationship to the Large Animal Simulation Laboratory Manager.
