The Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Chicago School is hiring a Clinical Skills Educator to provide hands-on instruction to osteopathic medical students. This role will provide hands-on instruction and oversight in physician skills and OMM experiential sessions. Successful candidates will be a healthcare professional who contributes directly to the development of students’ physical exam, clinical, and palpatory and/or manipulative skills in alignment with the osteopathic philosophy and IllinoisCOM curriculum objectives. This role will work in collaboration with Operations staff, clinical faculty and Course Directors to facilitate small-group, hands-on laboratory sessions, reinforcing safe, effective, and evidence-informed clinical practice and/or osteopathic principles and practices within the Patient Centered Osteopathic Practice courses. Responsibilities include observing and instructing medical students during experiential sessions. A successful candidate may also lead a laboratory demonstration or instruction of clinical skills and/or Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine techniques depending on skillset and experience. This is a part-time position requiring flexibility to work during the hours agreed upon for student instruction and assessment. The position is on-site at the Chicago Campus.
