Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 5+ years of organ procurement, related healthcare, or leadership experience.
  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) required or must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and leading effective teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Develop: Mentor and develop the Clinical Services team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Donor Processes: Manage donor management, and organ allocation, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements (OPTN, CMS, FDA, CDC).
  • Strategic Scheduling: Develop comprehensive schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels and accommodate training and PTO requests.
  • Manage Corrective Actions: Collaborate on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and Preventive Action Reports (PAR), ensuring thorough analysis, effective solutions, and monitoring.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and communicate them effectively to relevant staff.
  • Hiring and Collaboration: Support the hiring process by participating in interviews for new Clinical Services Department roles and build strong relationships with hospital partners.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive workflow improvements, evaluate and implement new technologies, and ensure seamless integration across departments.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the Clinical Educator and Learning and Development to develop training programs and mentor team members in advanced principles and procedures.
