About The Position

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, identifies annual competencies through interaction of the clinical staff and facilitates the completion of the competencies. Coordinates and instructs annual clinical update day for clinical staff. Coordinates and instructs orientation/training for new clinical hires. Identifies required clinical competencies through interaction with the clinical staff and facilitates the completion of competencies in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services. Interacts with physicians, office management and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow. Responsible for conducting regular clinical rounding at SHMG locations. In collaboration with the Practice Manager, demonstrates knowledge of the overall needs of the office. Participates and collaborates with multidisciplinary departments – including but not limited to, Case Management, Quality, Infection Prevention, Pharmacy, Information Services, Finance, and Regulatory. Monitors adherence to all internal and external regulatory requirements. Under the direction of and in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, educates staff on the Regulatory and Professional Standards of Clinical Practice. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, Practice Managers and Providers, participates in patient care initiatives and vetting of new equipment, medications and treatments. In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services, Practice Managers and Directors of Operations, responsible for developing and implementing process improvement plans. Demonstrates a commitment to Clinical Excellence and Service Standards. Develops strong interpersonal relationships with peers, employees, Providers and all partners throughout the system. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Current RN license, State of Connecticut Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required with a Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three years’ experience in leadership or professional development role preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience. Ability to travel required. Ability to compile objective and measurable data and produce written reports is required. Ability to develop and communicate written policies and procedure is required. High level of competency with computers and computer software such as MS Office, Excel, HER. Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills are required

Requirements

  • Current RN license, State of Connecticut
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
