Department: ICE | BHSL Clinical Staff Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) Clinical Services Manager (CSM) is a clinical leadership position within the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) on the main UAMS campus. It is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the designated clinic/units, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) 5 or more years of experience in the field of Nursing, with 3 years nursing management/leadership experience (recent acute psychiatry experience preferred) Registered Nurse license in the state of Arkansas by the State Board of Nursing Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexible, ability to independently problem solve Must possess strong leadership and mentoring abilities Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) At least 5 years of nursing experience, and 3 years of nursing inpatient management/leadership experience (3 years of acute psychiatry experience) Scheduling for inpatient, knowledge and skill to interpret and apply clinical inpatient attendance policies Additional Information: Job Requirements: The CSM is responsible for leading, managing and mentoring 90+ inpatient staff. The CSM reports to the BHSL Senior Director of Nursing and is part of a team that supports the daily operations of the BHSL Adult Inpatient Unit and the Interventional Psychiatry Hospital-Based Outpatient Department. The CSM identifies problems impacting patient care activities and assists in the ongoing evaluation of the unit’s goals for patient care. The CSM will attend meetings and participate on various BHSL and hospital committees and will be part of a team that ensures adherence to UAMS standards of patient care. Employees in this role may be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR). Employee must successfully complete a UAMS-sponsored conflict management training (currently Level 2 & 3 Vistelar) to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors using methods such as non-escalation, de-escalation, personal protection from physical assaults, and physical alternatives within 6 months of hire.
