About The Position

Position Summary: The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) is a senior leadership position responsible for the management of the social services department. This includes supervision of therapists, the recreational therapy department, and behavior analysis services. The DCS is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with all referral sources, funders, the parents/guardians of our residents, and all other collateral contacts. The DCS is responsible for measuring and reporting program outcomes and developing and maintaining program policies and procedures. The DCS works in close collaboration with the CEO, COO, DON, and DRS to accomplish the mission of the organization.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree
  • 3-5 years of clinical leadership experience required
  • LCSW, LHMC or LMFT certification required

Responsibilities

  • Must fully understand, continually embrace, implement, and support a trauma informed care approach to all services and programming.
  • Facilitate regular training, guidance, and/or coaching to all staff, including non-clinical, to ensure a trauma informed approach is always utilized in all situations.
  • Holds staff accountable for using this approach in all interactions.
  • Interview, hire, and train all social services staff members.
  • Manages FTE budget for department.
  • Facilitate formal weekly supervision, documenting these meetings.
  • Conducts 30, 60, 90 day and annual evaluations for all direct reports.
  • Coaches the Lead Therapist in same.
  • Tracks timely completion and clinical quality of all treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and progress notes.
  • Ensures treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, individual/family/group progress notes are individualized for each resident and address progress or lack thereof towards individual goals and objectives.
  • Provides training and coaching for staff to address any noted deficiencies.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the social services department.
  • Reviews and/or revises policies as necessary, but minimally on an annual basis.
  • Trains staff on policies and procedures and/or on revisions to existing policies.
  • Must be able to work one late shift weekly (12-9:30) and assume responsibilities as administrator on call 1x approximately every 2-3 months, requiring several hours of weekend work, receiving a day off the following week.
