About the position

The Clinical Services Director at Greenwich House is responsible for overseeing clinical staff and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. This role involves providing supervision to clinical staff, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, and representing the agency in meetings with regulatory bodies. The director will also review staff documentation, maintain audit readiness, and participate in incident review committees. The position requires collaboration with senior leadership and community partners, as well as participation in program development and management of clinical services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to clinical staff, both individual and group, with supervision notes.
  • Take an active lead in all agency clinical staff and interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Participate in all in-service trainings and continued ongoing education in collaboration with Greenwich House Mental Health Trainer.
  • Representation at meetings with regulatory agencies in regards to clinical services.
  • Review staff documentation to ensure it is person-centered and evidence-based, meeting all billing requirements.
  • Maintain the clinic as audit ready for all regulatory bodies, including review of corrective action plans for monthly internal audits.
  • Participate in monthly Incident Review Committee.
  • Review internal monthly audit and prepare response for compliance committee.
  • Provide staff with training regarding corrective action plans for monthly and agency audits.
  • Demonstrate leadership and oversee crisis situations within the clinic.
  • Keep Program Director informed of progress, issues, crises, incidents, and problems to be addressed.
  • Work with clinical staff to help achieve service requirement expectations, including disciplinary action.
  • Function as a member of the clinic's senior leadership team.
  • Participate in program development.
  • Use time efficiently and be well-organized.
  • Responsible for clinical services provided at MMTP.
  • Build relationships with community partners, including local precinct, neighbors, and community board.
  • Work collaboratively with co-clinical services director, medical team, and practice manager.
  • Co-manage running of weekly staff meeting.
  • Assist in the management and recruitment of intern and volunteer program.
  • Develop a referral network of relationships and MOUs for medical and psychiatric conditions.
  • Work with Medical Practice Manager to oversee and manage intakes and discharges.
  • Provide other clinical and/or administrative duties as requested by the Director.

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus four (4) years of clinical experience, 2 years supervisor experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorder, co-occurring evidenced-based treatment methodologies and modalities.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local documentation requirements including collaborative documentation, treatment planning, progress notes, assessments/screenings.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in NYC social, legal, correctional service systems and programs.
  • Good communication skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently and to interact with all levels of staff, both internally and externally.

  • Salary range of $85,000.00 to $90,000.00 annually
