Emp Status Regular Full time Work Shift Compensation Range What you will be doing OR Clinical Service Lead Full-Time 4x days a week, 1pm-11:15pm Overview: The OR Clinical Service Lead is a position which recognizes the nurse’s leadership potential in addition to clinical practice expertise. The OR Clinical Service Lead has evidence of leadership ability, effective interdisciplinary and interdepartmental communication, and participation in councils and committees. The OR Clinical Service Lead directs and coordinates the clinical activities of the unit to ensure the highest level of patient care, incorporating patient safety, interdisciplinary communication, patient satisfaction, and resource utilization. The OR Clinical Service Lead coordinates the daily activities of surgical service to include hand off communication, appropriate time utilization, and staff assignments during a specific time period, facilitates growth and development of staff, and is a unit or surgical service leader of patient care coordination, in addition to the accountabilities of the CNI, CNII, and CNIII clinical positions. The OR Clinical Service Lead will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day operations of their assigned surgical service, including but not limited to: Overseeing and coordinating the clinical activities and daily operations of surgical services, driving efficiency and quality care. Overseeing patient throughput from holding to OR to PACU. Facilitating day-to-day workflows, act as first resource to staff, surgeons, and interdisciplinary team (real-time response to issues). Communication with surgeons/offices regarding specific case needs. Facilitating clear line of communication to clinical OR teams and provide real-time escalation of day-of issues to leadership as appropriate. Maintaining preference cards for service; collaborating with clinicians Supporting KPI's and goals are met with focus on First Cast On Time Starts and Turnaround Times and actively removing barriers to achieving this. Assuming charge role at the podium based on unit need, as determined by PCD/APCD.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the OR
  • Bachelor’s required
  • Specialty certified required

  • Master’s preferred, enrolled
