Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time The Clinical Scientist Intern role is a highly dynamic opportunity to work in a collaborative, team‑based environment supporting the design and execution of clinical studies for medical devices within the Renal Denervation franchise. This role contributes to the analysis of clinical data trends and outcomes that support product approvals and advance innovative therapies. Ideal candidates are passionate about medical device innovation and applying skills in data analysis, scientific communication, and critical thinking to support clinical trial execution and success.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands‑on exposure to the design and execution of clinical trials for medical devices in the cardiology space
  • Develop an understanding of regulatory and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for medical devices and how manufacturers ensure product safety, performance, and clinical benefit
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners across Regulatory, Clinical Trials, Clinical Risk, Medical Safety, and Research & Development
  • Support evaluation of state‑of-the-art standards for relevant medical conditions and build domain knowledge of disease areas addressed by the Renal Denervation portfolio
  • Partner with experienced Clinical Scientists to support delivery of project milestones and program goals
  • Contribute to ongoing literature surveillance by screening published research, identifying relevant publications, and extracting key scientific insights to support active clinical trials
  • Analyze key clinical metrics to identify trends and present findings in meetings with Clinical Scientists and stakeholders
  • Participate in clinical trial execution meetings and support preparation of materials and follow‑up actions
