About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and clinically knowledgeable Scheduler to support our Interventional Radiology department. This part-time role is ideal for candidates with a background as an RN, LPN, or EMT who can effectively review clinical documentation and coordinate patient scheduling.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in related field.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Associates degree
• active licensure in one of the followings is preferred - RN, LPN, EMT
• BLS
• ACLS

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in radiology or other procedural areas.
• Familiarity with interventional radiology procedures and other medical terminology.
• Proficiency in scheduling systems (EPIC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals and clinical documentation to determine appropriate scheduling needs.
• Coordinate and schedule interventional radiology procedures in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Communicate with patients regarding appointment details, preparation instructions, and follow-up requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely updates in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Assist with verifying insurance and authorization requirements as need
