The position is responsible for making and scheduling patient appointments in an efficient and timely manner. This includes scheduling patients, verifying respective patient insurance information, and assisting physicians, nursing, and clinical staff with accurate and timely scheduling of patients to be seen in the clinic setting. The role also involves communicating with patients and family members, performing various administrative duties such as obtaining demographic and insurance information, charge entry, and relaying necessary messages to staff. Additionally, the position requires verifying necessary information in GE/IDX or EPIC.

  • Schedules patients and verifies respective patient insurance information.
  • Assists physicians, nursing and clinical staff with accurate and timely scheduling of patients to be seen in the clinic setting.

  • Ability to perform all medical assisting responsibilities under state and faculty guidelines.
  • 5 or more years of medical office experience with emphasis in clinical scheduling.
