About The Position

The Sales Associate Development Program offers an opportunity for high-potential candidates who have prior sales experience to develop specialized sales skills and experience to be successful in Medical Sales. An individual in this position will be mentored through product and sales training, as well as comprehensive advanced corporate training, to develop into a successful sales representative at ASP Global. Through a mix of in-servicing and field-based selling experiences, a Sales Associate will coordinate and provide educational support while achieving defined objectives for ASP Global assigned products, primarily the PRIMO brand. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: · This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, assisting with product demonstrations, supporting clinical trials, and ensuring exemplary customer service. · Provide in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) for our primary category, Wound Prevention (heel offloading, turning, and positioning, pressure redistribution, and safe patient handling).

Requirements

  • Minimum Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent phone, written, and verbal skills; proficient in Microsoft Platforms (Office/Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Key characteristics: Drive for results; Action orientated; Strong work ethic and career ambition; Ability to develop and present complex product demonstrations; Customer-focused mentality; Change agility and adaptability; and Creative Problem-solving.
  • Valid US driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • The ability to travel 80% Nationally/Regionally, as necessary, which will include overnight and potentially some weekends, as required.
  • Open Sales Associate territories include, but are not limited to, Mid Atlantic, Southwest, and Southeast Regions.

Responsibilities

  • Promoting and increasing the sales of the ASP/PRIMO Wound Prevention Portfolio
  • Attend New Hire Training, followed by Field Training under the guidance of their Manager to develop strong product knowledge, customer engagement skills, and sales techniques
  • Make effective presentations on the PRIMO Portfolio
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at accounts identified by their Manager
  • Assist the Field Sales Team in coordinating and monitoring product evaluations
  • Help manage activity in open territories (promotions, terminations, extended leaves, etc.) as necessary
  • Increase their knowledge base through attendance at educational programs/seminars/conferences, reading journals, and participating in committee or group programs (ex: WOCN Society, AHHRM, ASPHP)
  • Assist in preparing for large meetings, as identified by the VP and Clinical Sales Specialists, including creating presentations, preparing sample packs and literature, and participating in the actual meeting
  • Assist with specific cross-references and pricing analyses
  • Provide any Customer Service-related assistance
