About The Position
The Clinical Registered Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on HMNMH's policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements. The Clinical Registered Nurse is responsible for triaging, discharging, and caring for admitted patients in the Emergency Department.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider cards
- 14 hours of BRN approved pediatric emergency education every 4 years required; or Two day Pediatric Emergency Course preferred (not PALS)
- Current MAB certification
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Certification by appropriate governing body desirable (AACN, ANCC) preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute hospital experience preferred
- Competency utilizing Meditech EHR preferred
