About The Position
The Registered Staff nurse assumes professional nursing responsibility and accountability within a designated time frame for the care and treatment of assigned patients. He/she prescribes nursing care utilizing the nursing process in the development of nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, delegates nursing care based on the competency of the team members, coordinates care utilizing available resources and the environment. Interacts with other health care team members and/or disciplines in accordance with standard nursing practice and Henry county Medical Center policies. The ages of the patients served are pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Exceptions include no neonates in surgery and no neonates, pediatric or adolescent patients in psychiatry.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program with an active Tennessee or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS- Must obtain Basic Life Support Certification within 30 days of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment.
- ACLS- Designated Charge RNs must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 12 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment.
- CPI training- Employee is prefereed to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute Training within 12 months of hire and maintain continuous readiness with renewal every 2 years throughout their employment.
