About The Position

The Clinical Responder, who reports to the Clinical Services Manager, will assess children in need of emergency restraint and seclusions, conduct intakes and assist campus supervisors with milieu management tasks, as necessary. Position may require evening, weekend, and shift work and requires availability to respond to emergencies. Requirements

  • Master's degree in psychology, sociology, education or related human services field or a licensed RN.
  • Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) as determined by the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR's) and/or the Oregon Mental Health Division.
  • Engagement with families, clients, community team members, and all levels of internal staff and clinical team members.
  • Understanding dynamics of Clinical Responder role in relation to engagement with clinical support of campus.

Responsibilities

  • Assess children in need of emergency restraint and seclusions.
  • Conduct intakes.
  • Assist campus supervisors with milieu management tasks.
  • Assess risk and safety issues related to milieu programming.
  • Perform intensive crisis interventions.
  • Lead and collaborate with staff during interventions.
  • Conduct assessments of suicide and homicide risk.
  • Create safety plans as appropriate.
  • Conduct face-to-face assessments of clients' physical and psychological well-being.
  • Support milieu operations by managing critical incidents.
  • Debrief incidents with staff and clients.
